Cold Shot Adjustable Scope Base
We are proud to offer an effective adjustable scope base for long range shooting and ELR applications. This system mounts to a MIL-STD-1913A Picatinny rail and is available in Minutes of angle as well as Milli Radian.
This system allows you more adjustment for elevation than your scope turrets, all while keeping your line of sight through the center of your optics.
This product is NOT cartridge specific, just use any one of many quality Ballistic calculators, dial your needed elevation and shoot. We have customers shooting from 17 rim fire to 50 BMG, some reaching out to near 4500 yards.
While this was designed for high powered rifle applications other uses have been tested and used for:
Paint ball weapons
And even mounting GPS guidance systems on unmanned mining equipment

Cold Shot LLc’s, Mil Radian Adjustable Base, MRAD elevation adjustable scope base system, must be attached with a MIL-STD-1913 picatinny rail. Failure to use this MIL-STD base is the #1 cause of failure or inaccuracy in the MOA/MRAD system. See the FAQ page or Wikipedia for more information.
Further, it was designed to eliminate the problems associated with distortion caused by “bending” light through as many as (10) lenses within modern scopes.
Today, every major scope manufacturer, offers a wide selection of, “bullet drop compensating” reticles, and “custom” turrets. The problem with these expensive features is that they are only correct for ONE cartridge, with ONE bullet weight, at ONE velocity.
The MRAD system is not cartridge specific, it is Mil Radian specific. The MRAD can be mounted on any rifle fitted with a full-length Picatinny Rail, chambered for any cartridge from, .22RF to the .50 BMG.
For the 144 MRAD. / 300 MOA base a 3/8″ diameter (10mm) clearance hole is required through the mounting Picatinny rail that is attached to the receiver, this allows the longer elevating screw a place to protrude into when at Zero.
Now with precision ground elevating threads for improved accuracy.
